Who am I:

My name is Jürgen Oswald, I was born on march 29th in 1983 in Austria. I graduated from High School in 2001 and after that finished military service in 2002. At this point of time I'm studying what is called 'Telematik' at the University of Technology at Graz. The study covers both software and hardware aspects of today's information systems. In addition to the basics of electronics and circuits there are also classes on computer graphics and creation of fast algorithms for example.

In my spare time I am best at a game of pool billard with my friends and a glass of beer. However, that doesn't mean I'm good at the game!

Working Experience Summary:

In 2001 I started mapping for a Total Conversion for the game Max Payne 1. After having gained considerable experience over the course of 3 years I switched over to Max Payne 2, which offered a similar level design interface. The main project I was working on, M:I - New Dawn, has been released in 2005. I also started with level design for Half Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source in late 2004, when the game hit the market. Simultaneously I gained experience in creating my own textures in Photoshop as well as doing small modeling jobs in 3ds Max. As a project leader I also had to get involved in audio and video editing as well as character animation. During my studies I also gained programming skills in various different languages like C, C++ or Java. Right now I am getting my hands on Maya and start to get into its workflow.
